Dark Chocolate Brownie Skillet

Ingredients
  • • 3 tablespoons cacao or cocoa powder
  • • 2 tablespoons coconut flour
  • • ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • • ⅓ cups dark chocolate chips
  • • 3 tablespoons coconut oil
  • • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • • 1 large egg
  • • Halo top ice cream (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray 6" cast iron skillet thoroughly.
  2. In large bowl mix together the 3 tablespoons cacao, 2 tablespoons coconut flour and ½ teaspoon baking soda, stir to combine.
  3. Next, add ⅓ cup dark chocolate chips/chunks and 3 tablespoons coconut oil to a medium size (microwave safe bowl). Microwave in 30 second intervals until completely melted (about 1 minute total).
  4. Stir chocolate until smooth and then add rest of the wet ingredients – 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup, 2 tablespoons coconut sugar, and 1 large egg.
  5. Whisk wet ingredients together and then add to the dry ingredients bowl, stirring until completely combined.
  6. Then add the brownie batter to the cast iron skillet and place in oven for 12 - 14 minutes.
  7. Once baked, let cool 10 minutes before serving. Top with ice cream and enjoy!
