IT’S HERE! Football season is among us, which means fun weekends away at our favorite teams’ games. And what I consider the best part of football… tailgating!! 🏈 Food, drinks, friends. It’s doesn’t get much better than that!

The only problem? It puts a serious damper on the clean eating plan. I’ve rounded up 13 of the best tailgating foods that are healthier options for you to bring and enjoy all day long!

Hi friends 🙂 This post has been requested by multiple followers, so here it is! We all love tailgating season, but it’s not so easy on the waistline. Or more importantly on the gut. All that sugar and alcohol is no bueno for our little tummies.

Tips To Lighten-Up Your Favorite Recipes

The best way to lighten-up your favorite recipes is healthy substitutions! Below you’ll find some of my favorite swaps and the measurement changes:

  • Substitute plain greek yogurt for sour cream (1:1)
  • Substitute coconut oil for butter (1:1)
  • Substitute unsweetened applesauce for butter (1:1) – great for baking
  • Substitute greek cream cheese for regular cream cheese (1:1)
  • Substitute coconut sugar, maple syrup, honey for regular white sugar
