Homemade Granola
Hi there 👋🏼 We’re getting into that time of year where warm, cozy foods hits the spot! And I’m sure this Healthy Homemade Granola will do just that.

I’m a granola phene 😬 I love it on yogurt and smoothies, but you bet I eat it plain too! It’s my kryptonite.

My favorite store bought is a tie between LiveGFree’s Gluten Free Cranberry Cashew and Honey and Purely Elizabeth’s Original.

But I will go out on a limb and say this makes the top of the list.

Homemade Granola in Mason Jar
It’s filled with fall-inspired ingredients like maple syrup, cinnamon and pumpkin seeds. And the best part is, it’s low in sugar!

So let’s get to it.

Homemade Granola Ingredients

  • Gluten free oatmeal (rolled oats)
  • Cinnamon
  • Coconut oil
  • Shredded coconut
  • Pure maple syrup
  • Vanilla
  • Cashews
  • Dried cranberries
  • Pepitas or sunflower seeds
  • Chia seeds

Don’t like dried cranberries or pumpkin seeds? The good news is, you can customize it as much or as little as you want.

Start with the base – gluten free oats, cinnamon, coconut oil, shredded coconut, pure maple syrup and vanilla – and add whatever mix-ins your heart desires.

Other Granola Mix Ins

  • Dried blueberries
  • Dried cherries
  • Chocolate chips
  • Pecans
  • Almonds
  • Walnuts
  • Hemp Seeds

How Long Does Homemade Granola Last

Granola can last a long time (up to 6 months or longer), if stored in an airtight container.

I suggest making a double batch because you can keep it in your pantry and trust me when I say you’re going to want it! 😏

And speaking of double batches, this healthy, homemade granola makes for a perfect gift at the holidays! Fill up a mason jars and tie a pretty bow around the top and viola you have yourself the perfect gift to give your friends, coworkers or neighbors!
